SHIFT Business Festival
SHIFT Business Festival is a two-day event, where businesses, individuals, and phenomena come together at Turku Science Park. In 2024, the theme of the SHIFT Business Festival will be success, explored from the perspectives of leadership, innovation, and risk management. The key values for SHIFT participants are networking, business development and new partnerships, personal skill development, and expanding horizons.
The 2024 event consists of a program divided into three stages, workshops, and evening events, in addition to networking brunches, employer presentations, and opportunities for one-on-one expert discussions with speakers, depending on ticket type. For networking purposes, SHIFT utilizes the Brella app, which allows attendees to find new partners at the event.
Soma Events has been a partner of the event since it was first launched. Soma’s focus has been on event partnership acquisition and ticket sales in collaboration with the rest of the SHIFT sales team. In 2023, Soma also assisted with product development and customer experience. Soma’s CEO Sini has a 2-year history with the SHIFT event, and the experience has been really good both years; Sini has a great attitude and she’s always accessible. Soma boldly takes on challenges but also works well in collaboration with different parties. The overall picture and shared goal are seen as the main driving forces.
Working with Soma feels natural and is efficient. The feedback received has been overall positive, and Soma’s attitude has been praised by SHIFT’s end customers as well.

Growth Loop – The most revolutionary growth event of the year
Growth Loop is a high-profile business seminar focused on increasing the cash flows, profitability, and value of current and future growth companies. It was organized for the first time in June 2023, delighting nearly 500 attendees with stunning presentations, interesting discussions, and memorable encounters in the magnificent setting of Verkatehdas.
The full-day event will consist of a strong lineup of contributors and visionaries in the summer of 2024 – providing inspiration and practical insights to support growth. Through the Growth Loop tour, we aim to help entrepreneurs and companies succeed, grow, make bold decisions, innovate, and create new success stories.
Soma assisted in the background of securing the main partnerships for the event, conceptualizing the event, negotiating venues, and was also involved in event production from creating the production schedule to leading the volunteer team.
Sini has been an invaluable help in the fieldwork of the event.
